As one begins to map the entire enterprise, it becomes evident that the value stream is dependent on the strength of it's human resource.  Many times companies realize this too late and then engage training programs that are not tied to any system that supports the company’s strategic plan.  This will result in misappropriation of resources which tears the very fabric that is the company, the employees.  The consequence is confusion, unmet needs and conflict. We provide a complete performance improvement system that binds together the components of people, processes, and equipment.  The operating excellence system is built in a way that offers the method and proper timing of application to bring about the greatest return of investment and direct results of excellence in business.

TEAM BASED ACTIVITY

The power of kaizen and any other type of improvement breakthrough process is found in harvesting the knowledge of the people.  The operating excellence system fully engages the workforce to make dramatic positive change happen!  A concept we teach is Natural Work Teams defined as, "individuals hourly and/or salary within the same area, with common goals, and similar job activities working together in a structured manner to improve their organization". These teams, that naturally exist, are provided the necessary tools and direction to change their environment for the better. OP•EX Direct Results Inc. utilizes this concept  to drive dramatic rapid improvement.

TRAINING / LEARN BY DOING

Definition:  To teach so as to make fit, qualified, or proficient , and prepared for a level of skills necessary to reach a state of excellence.

Operating Excellence drives to achieve a balance between three identified and studied domains of behavior; Knowledge, Attitude, and Skills. To do this, it is imperative that the organization understands the measured performance needed to each at expected level, and those which the participant possesses.  By doing this the employees learning experience matches the needs of their organization.  OP-EX Direct Results Inc. works within these ideals to develop a method of training, just in time, to create "worker flex".  This dynamic approach allows for an organization to receive the highest degree of results from their number one resource, its employees. 

LEADING EFFECTIVE TEAMS

With every project, a team leader must be prepared to lead effectively.  The dynamics of an aggressive improvement target coupled with the need to manage a team to success can be extremely difficult for individuals with little experience.  LET training will equip a project team leader with the necessary tools to manage effectively. Everything from proper meeting effectiveness, work style mix, behavioral conflict, and resource management are addressed.

MANAGING DAILY IMPROVEMENT

The MDI workshop is targeted at shop floor managers and supervisors whose involvement and leadership is critical to implementing and sustaining operating excellence at the frontline, gemba (shop floor). The purpose of this course is to provide frontline supervisors, production and support managers with effective tools/techniques for identifying and sustaining the improvements made following the path of daily continual improvement.  This tool is directly derived from TWI (Training Within Industry) which was established as a foundational Toyota Production System method.

LEAN AND SIX SIGMA CERTIFICATION

As with any operating plan there is a need for special operatiional change agents.  Investing in these individuals not only helps organizations reap tremendous return, it allows for propagating the change at a much higher velocity. 

Lean & Six Sigma Certification training is a project based environment where candidates will learn structured problem solving skills based on the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) method and Lean Enterprise tools. These courses prepare candidates to provide key support to Six Sigma or Lean breakthrough kaizen events and process improvement projects by working with cross-functional teams to define and measure problems, analyze the root causes, implement improvements, and establish control at new levels.
